Well, every fall, it happens- the goodness that is a weekend filled with my favorite women friends.
We have an utter blast and we act like fools, and we make videos, and we play outside in matching jammies til 3 in the morning, and it is one of thee.funnest.weekends. every year.
And, this year did not disappoint! No, not one inkling!
It all started Thursday when Sabra and I decided to get our rears out of here and get some SANCTUARY!
We started out eating at Cheesecake Factory, and then we chilled at Fashion Place for a while.
Usually, we go to Park City or St George for this weekend, but the starts were not aligning for that to happen this year, so Heather's bro got us a slammin deal at a hotel in SLC. It was wonderful!!!!!!
and a couch worth sitting on for-e-ver at some other wondermous place
After the mall, we ventured over to the hotel for some down time. We just played on our phones and talked a bit.
Our room smelled like someone's buttocks, so we had to do some damage control. It was bad.
A little later, more friends started to show up!
For this night we had Jess and Wendy coming to stay with us!
So, to dinner it was= Zupas
What to do with a night ahead of us, without children to put to sleep?
Well, we did what any normal 35 year old women would do...
grabbed some lezh and did a fashion show!
Gangsta's paradise for ya'll
And oompa loompa doopity do
Then we decided, why not go to a movie! No one we know will see us, we will be warm and comfy!
So, we went to see Austenland.
That movie was HILARIOUS!!!!!!
I haven't laughed that hard at a movie for a LONG time.
It was seriously one of my favorites I believe!
Home to the hotel, and off to talk til the wee small hours of the morning.
One of the best parts of girls trips.
The next morn, when we awoke, the other gals hit up breakfast, and I joined them a little late, then we decided to work out.
Wend and I did a little modified crossfit, and ended up talking to the guy on the treadmill for a really long time....sometimes it's not the best to be friendly :) just kidding!
Post workouts came the weekends most lovely part:
LAYING OUT!!!!!!!
No, I don't care what the temperature was anywhere else, where we were in SLC, heavenly rays were shining down upon us. It was perfect. We didn't need the pool, but to lay out for hours- that was what we all needed! It was GLORIOUS!
We painted our nails,
Drank diet coke,
Ate and played pick up stix with pretzels,
It was divine!
We weren't ready to head in, but decided we'd better because everyone else was going to start showing up and we needed to get ready for RS Conference.
Lucky enough, we were able to get a new room too- that stench in the other one, never disappeared and it was the most foul!!!
We ALWAYS ALWAYS have to snag an elevator picture!
Finally ready to go, ladies in tow, we headed to the nearest church we could find.
It was kind of a treasure hunt, but we found one just in the nick of time!
The conference was beautiful. Wondeful. Perfect.
The spirit was so strong, and the Relief Society Presidency and our Prophet and Apostles spoke the words we needed to hear. I love this tradition we have of going with eachother to these special meetings.
I love my friends!!!!!!

Heidi, Jessica, Natalie, Wendy, Angela, Meaja, Me, Heather, and Sabra
we decided to go eat at Asian Star for dinner.
Twas a great idea.
I love that place.
I don't remember what was so appalling, here, but it was funny.
Here we all are, eating our little hearts out.
The funniest part was that it was a date dance night out at the Asian Star and there were little couples all around us. NONE of the girls were eating their food and TONS was getting left behind.
So, I decided to not let it go to waste, and asked the nice couples behind us if they wanted us to eat their left overs when they got up to leave.
My friends couldn't believe I did it, but c'mon, free Asian Star!?
The girls were a little weird about it, but this young man, he came over and pretended he was our little server and brought us their plates!
It was soooo funny!
Now, what is another REQUIREMENT for girls weekends for us?
You know it,
L E Z H U R E
And we were going to find some for all of us this night!
We headed over to a great lezh apparel store=Wal Mart
and got to hunting.
oh, there were so many fantastic things we could've donned.....
like this Beaver hat for instance,
or these hats- they really were cute, and we all found ones we liked, but one of the rules of Lezh is that is can't be more than like $5 so they were not going to fly.
Now these leopard house dresses were something right up our lezh alley, but they were one short, and we couldn't have one of us in non lezh! That just wouldn't do! So, we kept searching!
Duck Dynasty could've been an easy theme, but we decided against that too.
Although, this shirt on Sabra is priceless.
More duck dynasty apparrel
But, in the end, it was the polka dots that won us over. And they were a great choice indeed!
You must always change into your lezh ASAP
even if you #donthaveheelson
and take a picture in the parking lot!
Next lezhed up stop- the gas station for the nights treats- and swigs.
#teenytinydonut
This thing was delicious! It was a maple bar- a tinsy one, filled with apple pie filling! Talk about an invention of delight!
Swigs all around!
The gas station attendant thought we were crazy. His brother kept laughing at us because it wasn't halloween yet- he was so funny- mentally handicapped and he loved us!
We even got "those are some hot moms" from a stranger boy to his friend as they passed us by!
Well, we'll take it!
When we finally found the hotel, we had yet another on the way up the elevator picture.
Heather's goodies for the weekend:
Oh, and most of us bought some lezh sock wear also- how could we not!!! It was perfect!!!!
We spent a good amount of time watching hilarious videos on youtube- cuz we always do. This time was Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake #hashtag skit. Oh my goodness. It's one of the best. We laughed our socks off!!! And we quoted it for the next day and a half! (and still now possibly)
We always must have a lezh photo shoot! We were quite spectacular in our apparel this time around and had to document every step we took!
Instead of lying on the ground, using our toes to try and get a good picture, I remember Mana Ramey had put the camera on the ground once and then everyone leaned over it- oh heavens to betsy- how had we not thought of this before!
And then we got going:
Cheerleader Lezh
And finger mustache lezh- with Lisa the bomber.
Jessica's bed/toboggan doubled as the PERFECT Olan Mills backdrop for our singlet pictures!
And why Jorge the Pregnant knelt behind it, we'll never know- she's always taking one for the team!
You get it- sky back ground, so we were flying!!!???
And the epic all on the couch pictures.
With the cheeserino heart on pregnant belly in the front!
Jazz hands
Seriousness
fun and fancy free with some flexibility
Gosh it was fun!
This was the beginning of one of the longest Lezh nights! We made a music video to Katy Perry's ROAR and were outside making fools of ourselves until the wee hours of the morning- like until 3 am. We had a blast. We laughed our heads off, became tigers, beat up Natalie, zombies behind the bushes, butterflies and bees, moon walkers, dancers, tumblers, hall dancers, stair climbers, I mean, we were HILARIOUS. It was one of the most memorable nights ever and Heather made a video of it for us to cherish forever!
The next morning, some people took off a little earlier than others for church and what not, and some of us just stayed and slept in and chilled.
Jess, Heather and I have gotten a bed time picture of ourselves since Lezh Number 1. It's tradition.
We were the only ones left, so we had to collaborate and represent for all the Lezh's past.
I love that we do this. I seriously love my friends. We are the biggest idiots and have more fun than anyone I know! So, here is all the years' lezh. Can't wait for this bunch to grow and grow!!!!!!
Brent had texted me Saturday with some pictures of what he and our cutest kids had been up to that day. They headed up the canyon for some fun.
After packing up, we decided we needed to eat- and since Sab and I had forgone the cheesecake Thursday night, we decided to go back and partake this day.
I had the macaroni and cheeseburger- not as good as I was hoping it would be, but oh wells.
The cheesecake was just as it should be- the nummiest thing.
It was kinda freezing in there, so my napkin became my shawl.
I know I say it all the time, but I really have been blesses with the greatest friends. There are no other girls I'd rather surround myself with, laugh with, cry with, be angry with, vent with, travel with, dress up with, act a fool with! I love you all so much!!
Another wonderful weekend for the books!
