This year was a first in history and I am sooo grateful that I got to experience it with my beautiful Conli.
For the first time ever, when it came time for General Women's Conference, instead of Relief Society sisters only, it was for girls 8 and up.
What a difference!!!
We were all curious as to how they were going to keep the little girls attention, but still keep the older women's interest too.
Like we usually do for these meetings, we met up with friends for dinner beforehand.
It was so fun having out girls there with us!
Talitha, Talitha's cousin, Brynn
Kylie, Kamay, Lily, Conli
We chose to eat at Jason's Deli and what a grand surprise it was when they told us that after 4 on Saturdays, kids eat free!!! WAHOO!!!!
Up next was the broadcast. We decided to watch it down at Sabra's stake center. So we drove down into the maze of Provo for it. It was INCREDIBLE.
The speakers were wonderful, they showed films tailored to each of us, and it was just so beautiful to have all the young girls there.
The first speaker asked anyone that was primary age to stand. She started singing "Teach Me To Walk" and had them join in. Still standing, she had the older women sing the second verse. It was powerful.
Those sweet girls are going to be such a force to be reckoned with.
There were a couple videos they showed. One was showing the life of a woman- from birth to old age and the temple was always in the background. It was soooo touching and Conli actually cried thru it. I cannot explain the sweetness that girl has. She is so tenderhearted and close to the spirit and I adore her. I hope she never forgets and never turns away from the spirit that she carries with her.
After the broadcast, Summer and I had promised the gals treats, but we couldn't really decide where- so, we hit up 3 places- yes we have piggy problems!
First up- Sweet Tooth Fairy
Next- Farr's
Such a GREAT night. Conli remembers: going to the broadcast and being with her friends.
