well, being that this lame week was mostly filled with not sun, but rain- EVERY DAY....
we had to improvise on our plans of fun. therefore, we painted, and finger painted for hours,

we dared the rain to come and get us

we had picnics in the garage

We started doing a little o' this....UGH.....figured after she pulled her full diaper of not just wet stuff off in Summer's baby's crib that it was time....children!!!!!!

and we took adventurous hikes to the jungle= scared lil people

Friday afternoon....GIRLS NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it has been WAY WAY WAY too long since one of these beauties happened. Thanks to Summer, we got to have one before her little guy comes!!!!!!!

Jenny, Kristen, Steph, Me, Sabra, Dar and Summer (not pictured) left early to get some sun time in, and lucky for us, the clouds parted just long enough for us to catch those rays!

Then, we met up with the rest of our lovely ladies at Red Rock Brewery for some grub- are you kidding me with those onion rings? Golden, Fatty, Goodness

apparently their table was way better than ours....whatever....Post grubbin, we all met up back at the hotel for some much needed feet rubbin, toes paintin, back massagin, girl talkin.

I know I've mentioned before how much I love these girls but seriously. I LOVE you guys! thank you so much for being my friends!!!! I'm eternally blessed because of your friendships!!!

Some of us couldn't handle the heat and fell asleep a bit early- but that's all right! It was a wicked late night, but oh so filled with fun, laughs, love and friends!

sleeping arrangements ran onto the floors and such, but we made it work

right around 2:30 a.m. this was where Jesse, Dar, Sum, Sabra and I convened to talk about the real stuff

We awoke to continental breakfast and a Farmer's Market- or Juno- take your pick. It was such fun!!!!! Then we all had to go home- sad face.

But home was something to look forward to! Today, Summerfest was upon us!!!! Summerfest, if you don't know, is a lil city carnival- complete with a parade, and fireworks. It's pretty much a holidy to our family. We've been counting down and praying our hearts out for good weather for a week. Saturday was no exception. To ring in the holiday, and Dad's birthday, we ventured over to the good ol' O.G. for some lunch- breadsticks and alfredo mainly.

nap time after some eats, then over to the carny. We were blessed, it didn't rain while we were there! Thank Heavens!

although, because of the torrential downpour that happened earlier that day, the ground was an ooey gooey, mushy, mud covered pile of slip n' sliding goodness....i can still feel it in my toe-pits

Max is SUCH a good brother. He is soooo concerned about this gal's safety. He held her hand, and made sure she was situated on every ride before he took off. IT was sooo cute! What lucky sisters he has!

These girlies of ours are a bit sensitive to noise- be it honking, sirens, shooting, you name it, stomp their feet and run for the nearest cover. Too bad for Sawyer I had to catch a shot before the got support.

we had lots of friends join us on our parade patch. Brent set up tarps on Thursday night for this extravaganza- we don't mess around with Summerfest I'm telling you!

It was a grand ol' time---- until the rain started coming down. That=no finishing the parade and no fireworks for us....SOOOO SAD!!!!!

Miss Sassy Pants LOVES that her hair now requires one of these after a long tubby....Sunday night we got to celebrate Brent's and my bdays with the fam.
