ok, so let's pretend that these are pictures of my child in my womb, not Conli 5 years ago...and then I can say that surprise!!!!
IT'S A GIRL!!!!!
I can't get the ones of the lil miss in my bellay to scan, so those will have to proxy! We went in Fri the 3rd for the long awaited ultra sound.
Not gonna lie, it was hard news to hear. We wanted a boy pretty bad.
Especially my sweet Max.
Walking into the office, we had quadruple crossies. When they panned the crotchal area, Brent and I knew right away that was no outtie....I looked at Max as the tech confirmed our thoughts and he got tears in his eyes. SO, course I got tears in my eyes....it broke my heart!!!!!!!!
but, we made it through and I can't wait for her to get here!!!!!!
We've decided to name her Finley Kay for now....don't think it'll change, so deal with it! :)
Right after the dr's appt, we decided to head down to st george for a wknd with the Roberts family. We caravanned down with my parents+ky and jess.
It was a fun weekend. Since Jena, Kam and Max all had bdays coming up, we had celebratory muffins for breakfast saturday.

then we headed over to the splash park. It's awesome! the kids had a blast and I got a little more sun for my hippo body!!!! LOVE IT!
cousins!

they all found their favorite spots and played for hours.

woo hoo!!!!

love sawyer and kam's terrified looks in this one. They tried really really hard to be brave, but it didn't happen!

jena taking a jaunt through the falls with the wee ones!

although, she did taunt the water every time!

max's favorite spot!

kara trying to get hadley in the water

but she wanted nothing to do with it.

nothing's better than water in your face!

right up your shnoz!

Mom was planning a course for Jena & I to take

1. Ready

2. set

3. go!

4.
oh the cold!

Then, since we'd gotten a taste of the cool refreshment, we ran through the whole thing with Ky & Kamdyn.

we had planned the perfect sister picture, when Sawyer waltzed right up and sprayed us in the faces. PERFECT timing!

sisters!
don't know where Kara was- she's not too hip on the cold water either.

red rock bummies!
luckily it came right out in the wash.
dang st. george dirt!

aha! tattoo hands!

Kamdyn, Sawyer, Conli, Had & Kyli

girls and mana....Conli quickly discovered that mom did NOT want to be in the cold water, so what does she do? SPLASH the old woman!!!
i love the relationship these 2 have. It reminds me of me and my mom and i love it!
and i think these pictures are priceless. i love the pure joy on both of their faces.
i wish i had so many more pictures of me and my grandma and all our good times!

posin!!!!

with all the girlies!

"mana- i'm gonna get you wet. And it's cold!"
Conli, playing around with Mana again! She loves teasing. And mom's the perfect one to tease with water cuz cold+mom=NOT on the same team!!!

king of the rock!

jen's awesome tattoo from conli

kids damming the "river"

and lying in the river of coldness

trying to get a picture of Happy Hadley....she was enjoying herself, I promise!

Now come some of my most favorite pictures of the entire weekend. My mom and my girls playing in the field. Just running around. It was perfect. I'm so glad I got in on camera because I think they'll treasure them forever. I could've watched it all day.

"if you're a bird, i'm a bird"

spinning!

this woman's a champ because I'm pretty sure Conli almost weighs as much as her....skin and bones mother of mine!

"oh look ma, a waterfall!!!"
(and, might i add, the only picture of hadley smiling all day)

oh the endless fun you can have with waterfalls....on the head

and everyone needs a turn

and the bummies---'specially when someone's red headed child decides to just pee....just pee right there... right there in front of the whole park...

cutest auntie Ky and Max

that evening, we were able to be there for Kam's bday party. It was fun. The kids played bubbles for hours!!! Wanted for nothing else! Just bubbles for everyone!

i'm kind of in love with Sawyer's hair color in this one....

ahhhhh....cousinly lovies

the fam- chillin on the side lines

we also were able to visit my favorite grandpa while we were down under. He's hilarious. He HATES, and I mean HATES getting his picture taken. Plus, he was one hearing aid down, which made for loud talking....it was quite the time. He loves having us visit. It's so fun to hear his stories and see him love on my kids. Just wish Grandma was here to play too.....
here he is with Kyli before he knew what had really hit him=a photo shoot

and lucky for me, he actually looks like he wanted a picture with my fam=that's cuz I'm his favorite- don't tell anyone, but it's true...

then started the profanities. Anyone who knows my gpa, knows the man doesn't use nice language...oh the ears of my innocent little children. Thank goodness Jena only got a nice loud "POO" when it was her turn for a picture.

mom and Nancy on the other hand, got a couple Bull shi**'s and some other choice, loving, words.

I don't remember what he was saying here, but I'm sure it was at least PG-13.

and I had to sneak in a last one- he was trying to push me away so I had to be super fast!

It was Jena's birthday Sunday, so we decided-after many discussions, phone calls, arguments, from the family- to meet up at Brick Oven for some dining. Brent and Max ended up at Texas Roadhouse, Kyli took Conli on a date night and Kara and Ben stayed home with pizza. It was wild and crazy, but it was fun.
Jena loves attention.....
oh my word, don't sing and clap!
