bad news first-
Max's first day of kindergarten has been eagerly anticipated for about oh, 2 years????
Who woulda thunk that on this VERY day, he'd wake up sick??? Sick enough, he couldn't even drag himself off the couch to get dressed?????!!!!
It BROKE our HEARTS!!!!!
Before bed last night, I was holding him, telling him how sorry I was that he missed his very first day of school- he looked at me, with tears pouring from his eyes, and said, "It's just that everybody else got today as their first day of school. Everyone but me". YOWZA----now, mommy was crying- it was sooooo sad!!!!!

thing is, Max got something nodbody else in the school got today, his
VERY OWN 1ST DAY OF SCHOOL
that he didn't have to share with anyone else!!!!
He even got an awesome new first day of school hair cut by daddy (i love it)

I'm so excited for Max. I always loved school- well minus the three years of dreaded, horrific, huge glasses wearing junior high, but we made it- and he CRAVES it!!! He loves making new friends, and he's going to have so much fun!!!! He's such an active boy, and was sooo excited when he woke up this morning not feeling sick, so he could go!!!!! YEAH MAX!!!!!
We carpool with Burke and Braxton- which is so fun for these boys- they're fabulous friends!

(conli wanted in on the action, and she's cute, so i let her)

legs of gooey goodness-----

from this silly girl

Sunday night brought to pass 3 of my favorite things-
homemade pizza, friends and outdoor movie night!
preparing the blessed food
ahhhh....pizza perfection- made by Katie
la familia Gunn, minus Easton- he was busy playing
Sawyer and Jones made fast friends
After dinner, we turned on a movie for the kidlets downstairs-
Conli, Max, Brynn, Easton, Bubba, Atticus

and turned on a "big person" movie outside!
Katie + Lance
1...2...3.. DRAW..... we're pretty picture happy you could say!

Since it was the last week of summer- oh, BIG tears flowing down my cheeks- and my little boy was starting school Monday, we decided to have some fun at the "real pool" and Chuck E. Cheese to comemorate the end of summer.
Veterans Pool came first. Thanks Brynn, Easton, Taylor, Colby and Braxton for coming!!!!!

..."and I so love Easton. and I'm going to marry him in the temple. WOO HOO!!!!", Conli says, for the 14th time today,
then they run, twitterpatedly, into the water, frolicing like little love birds, laughing at each other the entire time!

aunt tiffy- who I'm pretty sure my kids think is their real life auntie too- that's fine right Tiff???
just love this pic. that's all.

chubbalufagus showing off her goods

Heather, Stacie, Tiff and me- ummmm Heath, didn't you have a baby a month ago???
(lookin fab)
got a wild hair to see how Sawyer'd do with some floaties-
the verdict???
My one year old can swim!!!!!
She was in HOG HEAVEN!!!!!
The floaties were a bit much for her lil arms to hold up, but she just laid back and floated around for like 20 minutes! It was AWESOME!!!! She was just laughing and kicking- she couldn't get enough! We were all clapping for her- as a mom does when her chubby child swims for the first time- and she tried to join in the celebration- but her floaties got the best of her.
"Fat guy in a little coat" comes to mind- she raised her arms and tried to flap them close together, but it didn't happen.....oh, I so love Sawyer!!!!
first, some practice with mom (not cuz you're nervous sweet heart, cuz mom is)
it's all you babe!
- there are no words-
oh, and if you're wondering why there were no Max pictures above, it's because he spent the entire time going down the water slides- nuf said
Next was the day of Cheese

as always, a joyful reunion for these 2
yeah, a prize!!!!
Sawyer probably logged a good 2 hours on this puppy
And picture with me, if you can, about 4 minutes passing after the picture above- Conli was in shambles, pure distress, because she couldn't find the slide. Poor dear- such a nervous, worried wreck ALL. THE. TIME. Luckily, her sweet, brave, brother saved her.
He's kind of Mighty Mouse
Sweet Hayleigh Bug and her mommy
We're happy Xander got to come with us!!!!!
2 weekends ago, Brent was ITCHING to go fishing, but I preferred he not go with Dave- SORRY!!!!- so, when he asked to go up the canyon- I figured that'd be nice of me eh??? So, Brent went on the river, and the kids and I played at the park, and went on a little walk down the rail road tracks to find dad.
pretty much wish I had Conli's hair....

pose much????
i L-O-V-E that she's holding her dress out....oh Sawyer!
my cute girlies!
ahhh- what a precious moment
if you can believe it- Conli was afraid a train was going to come rolling down the tracks and get us- yeah i know. all
DRAMA all the time...so Max put on his best triple B (B.rave B.ig B.rother) face and protected her.

Max also has aspirations to become a photographer professionale! He took the following 2 pictures- kids got skills!

if you say, "Say Cheese" to this one, she opens her big. biG. bIG. BIG mouth and yells, everytime- she's freakin' hilarious- and loud, it's true Sean-very loud
1st attempt to get a picture of the kiddos- two lookers- not so bad
2nd attempt...judge for yourselves
18th attempt....finally!
we finally found Brent, and even though Max had a nervous breakdown that he couldn't get in the river with him...it all worked out. Max took this picture of the Mr., fishing
