Christmas Eve is a great tradition with the Ramey's. And we actually started something new with Mana & Papa that morning, but forgot to take any pics! We met my parents in Layton and went out to breakfast which was awesome and we need to do it every year from now on!!!!
The Ramey Christmas Eve always starts with dinner...and usually at Sizzler, which, let's be honest, I don't love, but it's fine, and it's tradition so we can do it once a year :)
Also, usually Chris and J are in Ogden with Chris's family, and Tolman's are usually with Tolmans but this year, we all got to spend it together and it was awesome!

Meanwhile, the girls got their Christmas Eve cookies on in the kitchen. Mana ALWAYS makes the peanut butter cookies with the kisses in the middle.
Chris was the UNwrapper
After cookies were done, the kids got to get in on some unwrapping of their own. Karri has taken it upon herself, as best aunt ever, to provide Christmas Eve jammies. They love it!
love all their "AWWWW!!" faces!
She makes darling name tags and they all get so excited for eachother!

Another great Ramey tradition is the kids walking their stockings to the fireplace on Christmas Eve so Santa can fill them. I helped Finley. She wanted to hold it herself- by her mouth, like all good puppies do-
Then I made her walk alone
oh i love her!
Sawyer up next.
She came bounding down the hall
and barely had time to stop for a foto
Conli posed all fashion!
Max put on a show...surprise surprise! :)
I love how Mara's looking at him here:

With all the festivities over with, we finished up at Mana's, loaded the peeps, and drove home for our last minuted traditions.
We have to leave the key to the door because we don't have a fireplace!
And we left some reindeer food for the deer to find us easily
Donuts are a MUST for Santa. He really loves them
and Sawyer made his chocolate milk all by herself!
The kids actually fell to sleep pretty quickly, and Brent and I were speedy gonzalez in the present department. We had everything over and out by 10.
So, when Max decided to wake up at 11 and come say hi....which he cannot do without looking in the living room....we freaked out.
He didn't say a word about it, and we decided to follow his lead.
Luckily we got him back to sleep and tried to come up with a story for the morn.
He came in again at 3 and again at like 5:30.
We think he got Conli up at 5:30 and they went and looked at everything, then woke us back up at 6:30 for the real deal.
It was hilarious because he acted like it was all a surprise. When Conli said they'd already looked at all of it before we got out of bed, I said, "nice acting Mackey!" and he said "you're welcome!" He's so funny.
Then he started telling the girls how Santa had come last night, really early, and we pitched in saying how miraculous and magic he really is because we didn't even hear him! We told them we'd wrapped all our gifts to the kids and laid them out and he must've come right after!!!! They took it, and we breathed out :)
SUCCESS!!!!
