April Showers.....for REALS!!!!!!??????

What a soggy few weeks we've had!

You what that equals?

LAME-O

But, we will press forward and endure through that which causes us heartache eh???

seriously though- this weather affects my soul- and I'm NOT joking! It's so hard to be uppity for me when you look outside and it looks like JANUARY in blasted APRIL!!!!!

I'm so tired of being cramped up in mi casa!!!!!

but enough of me and my ranting....we'll move on....

Pretzels+Max+Bubba= SO MUCH FUN!!!!

they had fun making food "masks" the other day...Summer's so grateful for Max's example!

and speaking of Summer....if anyone thinks they have better, more caring, more charitable friends than I do, we shall have words, because, I promise you, I have thee.best.friends.in.the.world.
I mean who else has friends that'll take such hot picture of them?? Thanks for the hair did Sum- you're a life saver!!! And Lind, the dryer- it's an oldie, but a goodie!

Jena and Kam decided to escape the heat of the south and head north to arctic cache valley----WHY??? I DON'T KNOW!!!
but either way, she and Kam stopped by and it was a fun few hours!!!

another coveted blanket day!! this time- beds on the stairs.
Max fully thought he was going to sleep here----and that he wouldn't fall all the way down to the bottom.he even gave me a model pose to prove how fun it would be for him- I brought him down from that cloud real fast- we went to the Bean Museum with Sum, Bubba, Em, Claire and Lucy. It was fun. My kids hadn't been there FOREVER, so they were loving it. Thanks for the goodie mob idea Em!!!
Soy and Claire...snack time
Thursday, (mostly) Summer, and I threw the annual
EASTER EGG HUNT
and for the first time ever....we added
EXTRAVAGANZA
to our title this year
it's true- we're pretty much just as good as Thanksgiving Point's lil shin dig, and guess what? we're free.....yep, free.
I pulled out the ears for the festivites.
the kids all loved them!

while we were setting up, the kids got their dizzy on and rolled down the mountainous hills.
Hypothetically speaking, if you're watching your friends little boy, and he ends up down at the bottom of the park- down two HUGE hills, and is spotted running down the track, I think this hill rolling activity would keep the other children entertained if you , hypothetically speaking of course, had to run at top speed to get said little boy and leave all else behind!

this year we added coloring pictures to the mix,

and Mary brought an AWESOME craft.

As always, the park was a huge hit,

as was the cookie decorating station.

I know Ethan looks a bit scared in this picture, but he and Conli really do love playing together, I promise! We didn't bribe anyone to get this picture!

We had a bunny.....with a mask- upgrade!
and 2 pinatas, rather than one, but somehow, there's always way more crying children after this part of the day! So sad!

there were jewels in some of the eggs!

thanks so much for your help beautiful Mary!

ahhhh- i love these 2!
still love them!
go go dino eggs!!! so ferocious!
Brynn even pulled her own tooth! Talk about SPEGGTACULAR!!!!!
(yeah, I said it)

Sum, the amazing party planner.... I love you Friend!

oh, and we had face painting- as you can see
It was such a fun day!!! The turn out was awesome, and the weather decided to stop raining, and shine on us the entire time! It was perfect! Thanks everyone for all your help! And for coming!!!!!

That night, I realized it was time for a girls night, so I rounded up some girls for some night fun! Summer, Lind and I met up at Burger Supreme to gorge ourselves on some fries before heading over to Jess's to relax until the movie.
It was great- and I love Bride Wars- and the nazi workers at the theater! Don't take your own drinks and let them see- they will take them from you mid-drink!
The above picture----well, we always get our picture taken after the movie! But, NO ONE was around, so I decided I'd do it myself----I think it turned out great!
The other lovelies thought otherwise!

EXHIBIT B
a cute lil girl on a date took pity on my skills and took some glamour shots for us. Don't mind my floating head....

Nothing is more fun than bubbles on the porch!
I love their teamwork here!

and SURPRISE!!! Jess showed up to say good bye before he leaves for work for the summer!
We LOVE Uncle Jess.
The kids won't leave him alone for 2 seconds- honestly- that's not an exaggeration.
He's fantastic!
And cute....any takers????

April is a BI-ZEE month for birthdays at this brothel of friendship, and so, to celebrate, we took those who could, and met up at Cheesecake Factory Saturday!
And there was a birthday miracle- our wait magically turned into 15 minutes from 3 hours because we said we'd squish into a 6 person booth with 8 people.
WARNING: if they tell you the booth will only comfortably fit 6 people, they're lying! As Wendy said, we could've had our hubbies there and still eaten fine---well, almost- but really, we could've fit 2 more girls EASY!! C'mon Cheesecake!!! Figure it Out!!!

Sum, Wendy, Steph, Dar, Mej, Me, Stacie & JesseAnn
and the birthday girls:

Girls Trip soon anyone???? Again, how I LOVE my friends! I know I say it all the time, but really, I have LUCKED out in that department! Thank you for your love, your friendship, your constant giving and care.. you are all amazing and I'm so blessed to have you in my life!!!!!!!
