It's Here!! It's Here!!

Finally, Christmas Eve was here.
It's always a fun, busy, long night, but we wouldn't change it.
We met the whole Ramey clan at Sizzler for dinner- along with the rest of Utah County- and I don't know why people go there- it. is. putrid.
But they did keep J's drinks coming- so that was good.
Oh well- you live and you learn right? :)

Next stop- Mana's house for cookies and jammers.
This guy and his beard.....oh boy....it was oh so long, and I'd had oh so enough of it :)
Good thing I love him to the moon and back and then back again- infinity amount of times.
Time to get our cookie on!
I love that we continue to do this tradition with Mana that she did with her kids growing up.
Roll it....
Sugar it...

 Sprinkles on your lips!!!
And Mana's lips!
And everyone's lips!
Sugar kisses for all and to all a good night!
Post sugarings- boys get to unwrap the kisses to top off the cookies.
Ready for the oven:
 And the finished product:
-nummers-

In the mean time- mana had a lot of foam stickers for the kids to make some art with. They had a grand ol time.

 Up next- JAMMIES!!!!
Karri decided to go the extra mile and make them all this year!

Finley and I had a little photo shoot before we got to unwrapping.

 Then, it was time.
Finley was a little timid- but then she figured out what was going on.

 TA-DA!!!!!!
I think they liked them.

Then, the tradition continues- the kids walking the stockings down the hall to the fireplace.
Max likes to make things really funny- so he "tripped" on accident on his way into the living room.
Silly silly Max.

Once up on the mantle, a family picture was due.
We are so blessed.
Look at those sweet babies we have!

When we got home, we had to leave out treats for Santa and his reindeer.
The kids scattered oats on the front lawn so they could be spotted from up high.

And then they made a fantastical note for Santa from all of them!

Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good-night.

Decemberings

Trimming the tree.
Always happens with White Christmas playing in the background and this year didn't disappoint. Once I got the 45 strands of christmas lights on just like I like (ok, maybe I'm exaggerating a teeeeeensy bit)
the kids were able to get to it. And, we only had one casualty!
Finley really couldn't contain the excitement she had every time an ornament would be taken out of it's box, and she ended up de-shoeing a Tinkerbell. But, it was fixable, so all was well!

I LOOOOOVE the glow of christmas trees in our house at Christmas Time. It's warm, and comforting, and it just fills my heart with happy!

Although Brent said he would NOT be putting up Christmas lights, going and helping to put them up at Mom's must've changed his mind because he came straight home and started on ours.
Max was the designated helper, and he enjoyed being up there with Yukon Cornelius just as a son should.

I even got him to give me the famous "Cole  Dance" that is my favorite- love these boys! And know what's so sad? Our house was one of only TWO houses on the street that had lights! What the HUM BUG people!!!!!!

A fantastical thing happened this month- Melody Sucfronia Tolman was born! When we pulled down the road to Tolman's house for Sunday dinner, our girls couldn't stop squeaking. They were SOOOO excited to see and hold her. *note the smiles from ear to ear:

Finley especially wanted to just sit and be with her always. It's so sweet watching her give her loves and take care of her like she's 15 years old.

One night we ventured down to the outlets for some shopping and ran into this beauty of a tree. It was glorious, and soooooo tall. The kids had to pose in front of it of course.
Or if you're Sawyer- pout in front of it.

Sawyer's bestie Emily Skinrood had a tea party for her birthday.
These 2- pure giggle fest, always.
 Just a cutie of this'n.
And since I LOVE getting Christmas cards as much as Christmas presents, I HAD to send one out this year. Well, we didn't get any family pictures taken this year, so I asked Karri to bring her camera to mom's and take some fotos for us one Sunday afternoon.  They turned out fine- the process is ridiculous! Also- Brent had a huge beard.
 Sawyer's face-
 again-
Now this would've been cute if my kids didn't look frozen in some awkward, cold situation
I love how I'm looking at Fin here:
Doesn't matter- we got one that was good enough and sent them off!

The day before Fin turned 3, we had ourselves a little snugglefest. I just love her.

Brent and I took Max and Will to The Hobbit 2. Twas a fun little night.
Karri's camera also produced some gorgeous pictures of these girls:

These 2- pretty much inseperable at home- partly because Finley lets Sawyer boss her around and partly because they just love eachother.
 Just her face- CHHHHHEEEEESE!
More snuggles- another thing about this baby- she loves holding my hand- I will never tire of it.
Ana- who works for Brent and is one of the sweetest people ever born- made all the girls in our family hats for Christmas. Here is Fin modeling hers- they are sooo warm, and plus they're cute!
 The infamous Fin Pose!
 Just a cute girl.
 the pose strikes again:
Warming up at the gym one morning, there was a spare rower, so of course, Fin jumped on and gave it her all.
 just sillies.

Here's a good story for prosperity- Dear Sawyer- I hope when you grow up, that you have children who, for whatever reason, think it is better to stash and hide ALL their clothes from your sight- in hopes that you won't be able to find them and think they've done their chore of putting them away. I have found her clothes in bins in her closet, toy buckets, and this- the storage room.....or she could just take the 2 min to put them away and save herself the trouble....i dunno...

Another good Sawyer story- I'm knows as kind of a clean freak- and I am. I will fully admit it- but I don't think it's a bad trait- unless, of course, your children have no concept of the word clean. This, my dears, is a picture of what Sawyer does almost every day when she gets home from school.....Conli's lie in a heap on the kitchen floor right at the door-----children.....children...please!
 Then there's this one and her posings. {Sigh}

So- just some random Decemberings of the 2013's
