My b day muffin morning

A group of us went swimming that day too at Ange, Janeia's and Kell's pool. Twas swimnificent!

The following Sat. a couple of my besties were able to meet up for some birthday lunch on my behalf---must keep the festivities going as long as possible! :) Ang&Janei'a were there too, but they left before the camera came out.

Sunday afternoon, us 3 headed over to the Freedom Festival Fireside. It was beautiful. My favorite part was the lady playing the part of a mother of 5 who lost all her sons when they were hit and sunk....She sang "Bring Him Home" from Les Mis and oh, the sadness.....my hearts go out to any mother that has a sweet child at war. I'm grateful for our servicemen and women

While I was at the fireside, Brent stayed behind to pick up the kiddos. My AWESOME parents took them for the wknd as a present for me and Brent for our bdays. OH SWEET BLISS. This was the picture of them when I went to drop them off...sleepy heads just sleepin

I took Brynn and Bubba with us to some fun also. The kids had a BLAST!!! It was the perfect day. Not too hot, not too cold, a little overcast. The only thing that could've made it absolutely perfect was if the roller coaster would've been working...but it wasn't.

Then we decided to head into the air conditioned place and Bubba, Max and Brynn waited in line for about 45 min to climb. Conli and Sawyer played around and they all went on the Frogger too.

I finally got brave enough to brave the Peaks. That may or may not be because Jess was with us for a couple weeks, but that's neither here nor there.
Jess came down to go on a date, and ended up staying for 2 wks. We loved every minute. We love our Jess. I love my little brother. He's so super helpful and great with my kids. I maybe abused his being here, but he didn't seem to mind, so I ate it up!

and too bad the funniest moment in life occurred w/o being documented. Brent took Max on his very own personal roller coaster that plummeted towards the water at about 60 mph...Max had no idea what was coming, and Brent didn't know what he'd done until it was too late. Let's just say Kacee and I were laughing so hard I couldn't even console my poor crying boy. Whiplash? Faceflop? Check. Check.

Fell asleep watching home videos.That night,
we decided to meet up with the lovely Allred family again for some firework fun.
Perfect spot to watch Stadium of Fire.
Brent gets anxiety at the thought of the parking lot post fireworks, so he and Jess mapped out a getaway plan. The minute the fireworks started, he was outta there, had the car going and ready on the street. We had to RUSH out as fast as possible.
So bonkers.
