The girls were pretty much terrified of the maned creature.
*sidenote*
Finley was there, in her car seat, on the table, sleeping peacefully whilst we whiled away the hours chomping on fries/fry sauce/burgers/grilled cheese samiches/ and diet coke. The way dinner should be really...
Fin's 2nd Sundee to church.
I know, the bow=hideousness, don't you worry, it's in the dump now, safe and sound.
But the baby wearing the bow is quite delectable!
that same Sundee (sometimes I like to say that) Fin & I were chillin on the bed. Sawyer couldn't help herself, once again, to another serving of the chunk.
First came the burpings...ever so helpful
i mean really, have you ever beheld such a cherubic chubby baby cheek picture?
Before you know it, post church nappings were happening! I was tired too, but before I closed my sleepy little eye balls, I had to capture one of the sweetest things I've ever laid eyes upon....
I couldn't get enough of the pictures if you can't tell!
then it was my turn to join them.
one of the sweetest moments ever!
One time Jess came down for a sleep over.
I am so in love with this teensy weensy little puggy nosed girl.
Best. Profile. Ever
and of course, if Sawyer catches me with the camera out, she has to get in on the fun!
Karri decided that this month she would do a "fun night" with all the nieces and nephews. All's I know is, she's set herself up for some pretty big expectations for the coming years! :)
The kids all got calendars telling them what night was theirs, but none of them got to know what they were doing. They were SOOOO excited!!! It was Christmas Eve all over again! Sawyer's was first, and she was the only one that got a one on one date with Karri -kind bacheloresque, w/o the rose of course!
She chose some Mickey D's for din din and then to the mall to Build a Bear! She had SUCH an awesome time with her Aunt KArri. Then, after visiting the "sparkly floor store", she chose, above all the fun that could've been had at Chuck E Cheese, Pirate Island, Swimming, Kangaroo Zoo....going to Karri's house to play with toys.
Toldja she loves her Karri
Pure sweetness.
Next up for their Fun Night was Mara & Conli.
Con had to wait 1/2 hour after school for Karri to come get her, and I'm pretty sure she thought it really was 4 hours. She couldn't contain herself. She was out of her mind excited!
Their surprise=dinner and Disney on Ice
with dress ups hidden in the trunk and everything!
March 10th is what we call
D-DAY ANNIVERSARY
(code for death day)
We went to lunch as a family for fun. It's not really for "fun", but we need to do something on that day! It was good lunch. Dad loved Wendy's, so we went there.
The 11th was the day I left for a sleepover of fun with m'girls for Darla's bday up north, but Casi's bday is the 12th, so I took her to lunch before I left, and then treated her to her favorite cherry topper at Arctic Circle for a surprise :)
at 3:30, we were all piled into ONE car of goodness. Filled to the brim. It was awesome.
Middle row- Sabra, Wendy, and we picked up Mej a little later
front row- Stacie the chauffer, Janet, and Heather
back row- Sum, Me, Jessica
The drive up was splendid.
All I can say is I have the best friends in the world.
I'm so grateful to know so many girls with such amazing testimonies, willing to go through whatever they must to endure, and the stay strong, and they press on, and they are AMAZING, STRONG, women, and I am blessed to call them friends, and I love that we are all so able to be so open and loving and honest with eachother. This was a wknd of comfort, and it was fabulous.
We arrived in LAVA the backroads way, perhaps the GPS was completely jacked, but we finally made it to main street. Darla and her friend from home, Jennica, met us there, and we toured main street for a bit trying to find somewhere un-ghetto to eat. We decided on a quaint little place, but swiftly changed our minds after someone saw the kitchen of filth. So, we ended up at a pizza joint- can't go wrong there! And, the funny thing was that there was a signed picture of Court McGee on their wall- funny cuz Summer knows him really well, and we've hung out with his wife a bit, and so we took a pic and sent it to Chelsea for fun.
Veggie Pizza-yummiest ever!
Post pigging out and 27 pitchers of diet coke later, we headed over to the hot pots to get our relaxing on.
mmmm...warmth.
gang's all here!
kinda creepy with all the fog...kinda creepy with all the fungus crawling between your toesies, but we just didn't think about all that and just basked in the warmth of the water
wanted some sesky pics....
no caption needed
making our own lil horror film
Stace wasn't messing around with the ring the water out of your suit machine
and either was the girl seriously waiting behind her to use it! :D
After we got re-clothed, we drove up the road to our digs for the evening.
Dar found this quaint little bed and breakfast for our enjoymentwith a loft and everything!
It's never too late for treats!
Janet brought up home made scrumptulescent red velvet cup cakes in honor of the birthday girl
have you ever heard that if you put breast milk in your eye, it will heal it???
Well, i was willing to try anything....so I did it, cuz I could, cuz my friend is nursing....
p.s. it works!
we hung out into the early hours of the morning- some of us made it to bed at 3:30, someat 5, some not really at all.....
we did glitter toes, gave massages, and laughed our guts off!
the morning came all too soon, but we couldn't pass up the aroma of home made breakfast downstairs!
yummers!
after breakfast, and post fat fest the night previous, Wendy and I decided to get everyone in on some pilates. It's very convenient to have a teacher as a friend on these trips! Thanks Wend!
Mej- the all knowing facial guru- brought some fun with her too! Chocolate masks for all
it was wonderful
Lady Elaine Fairchild
i don't even know what to say! :)hahahaha!
introducing the body guards of our trip:
special Janet
our mafia mama
while I was gone loving LAVA, my boy Max was loving life at DinoSnorzz. (sleepover at the Dinosaur Museum)SOOOOOO excited!
another awesome thing we got this month=new neighbors=who are some of our best friends!!!!! doesn't get any better than that!
Our sweetest Conli had a birthday this month. It was off the hook.
it started off with busting out of her wrapped door!
She wanted to take Pixie Sticks to school to share and for dinner, we decided to take the fam out to Red Robin. (yummmmmm)
it was fun to have the whole family able to make it. She loved having them there. Thank you all for coming!!!!!After dinner, we met up with Knight clan for some Farr's. Conli just couldn't have a bday w/o Easton being there for something! :)
The following Sunday, we were able to have her family bday party.Karri brought her princess cake and she LOVED it.

We decided to give her a friend party this year too. Sheesh, party much???ok, here's the thing.....
we had big plans for this here cake.
I was going to make one that I found in some magazine, that was a purse. It was cute, and it was simple enough, thought I!
Well, I didn't leave any time for mistakes this day and as I got going on the cake, things started happening that were not good!!!
After deciding that this purse was NOT going to happen, I bit the bullet, and decided to just make a normal, patched back together square cake, covered in polka dots. Needless to say, I was tired, and OVER the cake, when I just threw up my hands and said, ya know what, Conli doesn't even like cake to begin with, and I opened up a cupboard to grab something. Well, a platter decided to jump out, and it landed on the cake, and then shattered all over the floor.
I just yelled......maybe cursed a little....
Conli came running in and said, "it's ok mom, we can still have fun."
Just what I needed my sweet girl.
No biggie...it doesn't matter!
it tasted divine, does that count!?
we love this girl so much.
how blessed are we!
that night, I went out to check on the kids while they were watching a movie.
sawyer had put herself to sleep just like Finley. Fin loved sleeping like this the first while she was home....it was so funny.
Finley's fabulous at falling asleep by herself. I think it is so adorable. I'll lie her down to go do something and more often than not, if she's sleepy, she'll be asleep when I get back.
Maybe I forgot this year....so I had to pull a couple tricks out when the girls weren't looking.
I started making breakfast, and, upon my word, after I had mixed up the pancake batter, I ran to get something in my room, and when I came back.....GREEN PANCAKES!!! those sneaky little leprechauns!!!!!
And they got to our milk too!!!!!
what the!
Sean owns the team, and had asked me to come up and sing the National Anthem for the game. Cool! Well, as it turns out, the ref's had something else in mind, and they started the game before we could get around to the singing, but all's well, it was still an awesome game. Rugby's fierce!!!
Of course, me, summer, brynn, bubba and grandma Joan had to play more on the phone while we watched! Jess and Kylee had come down to play for the wknd too, so that was fun. We had double date night that night! Love my brother!
