My gramps hasn't been doing very well lately and it stinks.
After he was released from the hospital the last time, he wasn't looking so good, so I decided to form a family trip to George to see him.
My siblings and I haven't ever "vacationed" before, and I thought it'd be a blast.
It was REALLY fun.
I love those guys- even with the drama we always find- I'm grateful they're mine.
So, we headed to George Friday afternoon.
4 sisters and one Taisyn in tow.
Jess was going to come down a day later cuz he had a lacrosse game he couldn't miss :(
But we got the trusty van all loaded up and headed down.
Casi felt as though she was in a third world country all the way in the back, but that was her choice! :)
We had good talks on the way down- well, Kara and I did :)

first thing's first, we went and checked out the room we'd be living in over the next 2 days. Kara found us an awesome deal, and it was a good spot! Go Kara!
then we headed over to see Jena, Derek, Kam and Mak, who we love, and who made us dinner!

While at Jena's, we played "store" and went through a bunch of clothes Jena didn't want any more. Kamdyn found the best find of the night and boy did she wear it well!

and tried to be all flexible and stuffs
then, for some reason, we got on the subject of feet and started taking pictures of their grossness

and then we doggie piled eachother
and laughed our heads off!
then out came the pretties
apparently my hair is super fun
and super sexy
the next morning, after a pleasants night sleep, i mean, can you tell how good the sleep was from my cockatoo hairdo??? Wowza!
I had to love on Tais's cuteness that morning. I love him.
Kyli said to never let mom know how dirty our room was and that we didn't make our beds....shame on us! naughty naughty.

After a lil shopping at the mall, Kara decided on Red Robin for her birfday luncheon.
It was delicious, and we missed Jena....

upon Kara for her birth.
after lunch, we were taaaard, so we went back to le'otel for some rest before going to see grandpa

We went to see grandpa that afternoon.
He looks so tired. And so over it all. I actually asked him what we could do for him while we were there and he told me to "find his gun". It broke my heart.
I hope he doesn't have to suffer for too long.
But I am grateful that we were able to see him, and give him loves and let him know we love him always.
taisyn loves to munch on round things that he really can't get into his mouth...never give up! :)
Sunday morning we headed over to jena's for birthday muffins and bacon for Kara's bday!

then we accompanied Derek and Kam to church. Twas a fun jaunt to the building, and we even fit into a family picture!
Sunday afternoon before we headed home we stopped back over to see this man. I hate seeing him like this...but I love him so much and am so glad we got to be there. He's so tired.

Ky was all about grandpas things- his chair, his walker. She played with his walker for like 1/2 hour. Just be-boppin around, shakin her head like an oldie...she made grandpa laugh. It was awesome!

after the longest drive home, we stopped at Mana's to let the girls get Kyli's car back and head on the rest of their journey. I love Sawyer's hair when I'm out of town....oh bother.....They had to get a picture with Kyli and their princess dresses.
