*6-25-29-2014* Bridal Veil & Some Peaks

After church Sunday we decided to take the kids up to Bridal Veil- Shamar loved it last time he was here. It was insanely crowded, but still great.

Then it was to Mana's for dinner and bday celebrations for Brent and me! Karri made a PB cup cake- perfect!

For our last day with the cousins, we decided to head to seven peaks. It was the perfect day, and they had a blast.

As much chaos and fighting went on with these people here together, I wouldn't change it. I DETEST that my brother lives so far away and that we never get to see these children. They are incredible. I love them beyond description and I LOATHE the thought of them leaving. I am soooo grateful for their sweet hearts, for the sweet intimate talks Nya and I shared and for the love we have as a family. I love them!

*6-27-2014* Cedar Hills Days Movie in the Park!

Some how I got these a little jumbled in order, but Friday night of Cedar Hills, they hold a movie in the park and serve you dinner.
So, we headed over right at go-time which was super smart because we didn't really have to wait in any line. We ate hot dogs and grilled chicken and chips.
We set up camp across the creek and the kids played in it for a while.

Well, Mardy lasted about 2.6 seconds because it was "too cold"

Trying to get a pic of the boys and they spotted me....

They were making Finley go to the Proffit's and get chips and then bring them to them...little moochers.

Then this guy showed up and they were SOOO excited to see eachother. Oh the love!

We watched Herbie! What a great idea! We actually didn't stay for the whole thing because it had been a late night week anywho and we were tired, but for what we stayed for it was fun.

*6-28-2014* CEDAR HILLS DAYS!!!!!!!

The Saturday morn of Cedar Hills week is always a grand parade right on the corner from our house. We wake up, leisurely waltz over, set up some chairs, blankets, what have you, and then mozy on back over when it's time. It's the best set up- plus, they throw TONS of candy, so the kids are in heaven. We had Summer and her kiddos and the Lind fam join us.

This years' new addition was a gospel choir! Who'da thunk!

Max's parade dream come true- bags of popcorn thrown to the people.
Mardy fashioned a new head accessory out of the balloons.
And here, Nya sports her new Home Depot apron.
 Double balloon band!
After the parade, we went home and grabbed some lunch and then we took the kids over to the carnival while Brent, Max and Mardy went to Max's bball game.
First stop- free games.

Then to the rides. It was actually quite disappointing this year- the amount of rides they didn't have. There were like 3 big kids ones and 3 little kids ones. Luckily, our kids were ok with the amount, but I thought it was lacking. Not even a ferris wheel for pete's sakes! How does one call themselves a carnival without a ferris wheel?

This kid- she gets insanely nervous for new things. SUCH anxiety. But, she ALWAYS tries them. She's awesome. So, she gets on this bad boy- and then she rode it 11 times in a row I believe.

Firehoses offered up a good cool off.

These 2 lovies- they are the sweetest thing.

I even got to spend some Q.T with Sienna!
There was a concert going on at the amphitheater and Sawyer was obsessed. So, she went over and joined some other littles dancing on stage- he was so sweet to let them! Then, he sang a Taylor Swift song, and he let Sawyer sing a whole line by herself! She didn't even flinch, just sang her heart out into that bad microphone!

When the darkness finally hit, we headed home for dinner and fireworks. We were going to head up to the golf course to watch, but we realized that we have thee perfect view from our back yard, so, we got comfy and watched from the comforts of our own house! It was perfect! Also- this cute little rascal got me a bouquet of flowers for my birthday! He is the sweetest thing!
It was a perfect summer's day.
