This could easily be thee biggest post yet.....
don't say i didn't warn you
but...it is the week of Halloween....what did you expect?
one measly little picture?
moi?
i think not!
let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start-
Kara's Birfday!
Since we didn't see Kar on her actual bday, and she always goes above and beyond what is required of any Auntie/Sister on our birthdays, I figured the least i could do is make her dinner and a cake right?
So, she and her bitty fam came down and we hung out for the evening!

This past week was "days of fun" at Con's preschool.
DAY 1: Crazy Hair Day
I think while I was doing her hair, and giggling and saying, oh this is going to be so cute, that somewhere betwixt my joy, she got into her head, she was getting princess hair.
Much to her dismay, when she peered in the mirror, she burst into tears. "It's not princess hair mom!" She was so upset! I felt so bad!!!!! If you can't tell, in the above picture, she was still very unsure of showing up to school like this!
Luckily, Lindy loved it, and told her so, and all was well (bless you my friend, bless you)
Wednesday night, Brent's mom held the annual (3 years running) Family Halloween Party. Poopie thing is, Max was sick, and Sawyer and I had had A DAY, so after my soccer game, Brent whisked the girls over for the festivities, and me and Mr. Sicky lounged in bed, wondering, "Why am I the only one that ever gets sick mom?" and stuff....poor little boy.....broke my heart parts!
This is a picture of all who dressed up- apparently, in our family, most of the a-dults are too cool for the costumes- i would've played! I ain't skerrd!!!

On Thursday, Conli had Dress Up day (aka Halloween party day) and since her winter coat decided to wage war on us this week and break it's zipper into pieces, I was grateful that Ivy had lent us this little jewel of warmth. Luckily, the dragon-ess was purple, so Conli could wear it!
My sweet friend Loralee had mailed me most of the bits and pieces to this AWESOMEST costume last month (which she made herself....uh huh, she's that good), but she couldn't find the dress! i had come to peace with the fact that Sawyer was just going to have to be a care bear, but oh how I wanted her to be Ms. Shortcake. Well, Loralee and her cute family moved here this month, and whadya know, the stars aligned and she found the dress!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!! So, this was our lil peep show!!! I LOVE IT!!!

Thursday night FINALLY came.

Janei'a came as a SYTYCD (if you don't know what that means, you and i need to have a little chat)

Now, this picture is funny cuz not only does it look like we should be Baby and Jonny from Dirty Dancing, but we weren't even doing the dirty dancing!!! HEHEHEHEH!!!!! Good angle Wend!!!

we decided to pull out the 'ol rockstar pictures for this night also
Friday night, long story=condensed version- Summer decided to throw the Annual Friends Halloween Party, even though her hubby, my hubby and Steph's husband would not be attending.
Marete, Jess and Steph

Cutie Pie Dave and Jesse

H1N1 Katie and Lance
I will NOT be saying what happened 2 moments before I clicked this bad boy......Naughty lil devil Sabra...YOU KNOW WHY!!!!
Let's just say, the first hour or so, Lance was loving polygamist life!!! Then, finally, some other males showed up so he wasn't just hanging with the gals. I'm sad so many people couldn't come....next year????
oh, and don't ask me what I was, cuz I don't know....I found that green cumberbunned beauty in a box of my moms....no idea.....and I just wanted to wear my "married boots" as Conli calls them.
After filling up on the fine foods everyone brought, we dimmed the lights for a good old fashioned dance party USA!!!! It was awesome!
And who would've thought Jesse's hand would flutter to her heart in sweet joy when the "One Eyed, One Horned Flying Purple People Eater" song came on! Girl was excited- to say the least!
I was in charge of games, and being an Ellen fan, I decided I'd take a page out of her book and we'd play "BLIND FOLDED MUSICAL CHAIRS". I figure, heck, if I pee watching it on tv, it's got to be funny in real life right? Verdict? IT's HILARIOUS!!!!
If you've never before encountered said game on the telly....you're missing out, but I encourage you to play it at your next friend filled gathering! You will laugh to your hearts content and get a work out all in the same matter of minutes!
We played 4 at a time, and the trick is, once the blind folds are on, and the music's pumpin, you ever so quietly rearrange the chairs, so the "blinds" don't know where they've gone!
we also added a little dancing flavor into the mix- course we did
boys round--- see the recurring theme here? squats, hands out, and swim for it
maybe sometimes you run into people and graze over things that aren't usually grazed over, but it's all fun and games---
here are dave and Mark gettin their grooves on mid game
Lance assuming proper playing position

dave almost taking Mark out

i know, there are lots of pictures, but it was FU-NNY. You shoulda been there!

YEAH! I got it!!! And I didn't even fall down the stairs! I swam hard to get this blasted stool!
Maybe Katie and I got a big tangled on "accident" a couple times....she kept winning
Finished....I'm out, and I'm pooped
HOld Up! Roger Rabbit in the hizzouse!
Sometimes, if you're lucky, and your husband happens to be at the party with you- i'm just sayin-, you would run into your lovely spouse, and it was nice
JesseAnn was always ready to sit back
pure Mayhem
hehehehe
was this before or after Lance hit Sabra in the "gut"?

WHAT??? I'm out!!!????
that's NOT a stool Sabra
workin it!
Katie turned her stool into a little flirty stool
Wow- that was good times!
We also had some gut roaring laughter over a game of Sentence, Picture, Sentence (which we could play cuz Brent wasn't there to object!)
Are you sure it didn't start out with The rabbit had hairy boobies????
Today, while making the most of our time before the highly anticipated Trick-Or-Treating time, Sawyer and I had a photo shoot....

Then, it was finally time to go! With our whole family coughing, and not feeling 100%, we just hurried over to mana's for a quick go around the cul-de-sac. Turned out, it wasn't very quick, but still very fun! Plus, KArri, Mana, Pat, Xander and MAra got to come with us this year!!!! YEAHHHHH!!!!!!
this was sawyer's first treat- she would've been content being done then and there, but don't worry, we dragged her around to the rest of the houses. She loved it. And I loved watching her little striped leggies hop/skip/run up to each door, cautiously peer in, and say "decker treat"! It was so cute!

Max's costume (thank you Noah) came fully equipped- hair piece and all!!! (sick-uh-ning)

We must always get a picture with Jim and Terri's ginormous spider! And let me mention- the weather was GREAT!!!! I didn't even need a coat!!!
I loved that Mar pulled her dress up at thee perfect time for this picture!!! little sweetheart!
Sawyer was only willing to get so close to Mr. Spidey. then they had a glaring contest
watching KArri get close
Karri trying to convince Sawyer he's nice
(no, it didn't work)

and we're off....

Finally back at ground zero! Buckets full, hearts content, freezing finally starting to set in
oh- coughing had begun
le close ups.....

After we left Mana's, we grabbed some $1 menu wendy's (thank heavens for them) and headed over to visit Grandma Joan. Sawyer was done and ready for bed, but we had to go see Grandma Joan. We have gone trick or treating to her house every year for 6 years, we couldn't let her down this year!!!
And Sawyer got a whole new spring in her step when she realized where we were going! She just cozied up to grandma on the couch and couldn't stop giggling!
She couldn't even believe how lucky she was to have chocolate AND suckers all to her self!!!!
And Conli lived the good life too- ah hershey's!
WOwsers!!! Happiest Halloween everyone! Can't wait for the next big thing!!! WE love us some Thanksgiving around here!
MAMA HERE WE COME!!!!
