all in the name of Darla!

it was Dar's bday a little bit ago, and since she lives far yonder to the north and the even more cold, we requested her presence be had at this year's first Girls Trip for her birthday party!

it was glorious to say the least.

Dar and I were lucky enough to get away early- thursday night at 5 to be exact, and we were so stoked to be going away for a much needed vacation!!!

here we are pit stopping at good ol Cove Fort-where we luckily made it w/o running out of gas. We made it to Hurricane that night where we set up residence at my aunt and uncles awesome house. My sis and her little fam is house sitting it for the next couple o' years while they're on a mission! It's such a great place to chill!

We just hung out that night, watched some vampires, chatted it up with my sis/hub/cousin/friends.

Derek was sweet enough to go to Wal-Mart and snag us some ice cream- thing is, we were too tired to do much more than move off the couch that night, so it had to wait until the next afternoon to be inhaled. And inhale we did- after resting up and sleeping in til 9:30, meeting up with Mary, scarfing our faces at Poncho & Lefty's, and shopping to Dar's hearts' content!

and we got comfy on the couches yet again, and rested up for the rest of the gals to get here!

and maybe i love toppings more than the actual ice cream....big whoop

finally, our friends showed up! A whole van full of fun! YAHOO!!!!

We decided to go get a little T&A for dinner
- no that is not me being naughty- it says that right on the menu!!!
The real name of this fine establishment=Ted & Allens=yummy!

and after grubbing, we went back to the house of goodness and I conjured up some carameled popcorny deliciousness for our post-pigging-out-at-dinner-selves!

this stuff may or may not have lasted 1/2 hour between the 8 of us devouring it

After a pleasant sleep-which for me lasted until 11 0'clock Friday morning- we all got ready to enter hotel land. Mary's AWESOME sister's room mate, works for the grand place we stayed and got us 2 rooms for an INSANE price. We couldn't pass it up. Plus- uh hello!- it has a pool! One of my top favorite 4 things about life=pooling!

So, after gathering all our goods from Jena's, we hustled over to a St. George must- Jimmy Johns- (yes, we know there's some here, but we always have to eat there on our 'ventures south) and then went over to the hotel to check in. Mary, Sabra, Summer and I opted to stay at the hotel and "pool" and the rest of the ladies went a'shoppin.

ahhhh--- bliss!

Heid got dropped off a titch early to get ready for the nights events. Which began, obviously, with some ratatat-tats of her hair! Chick ain't messin around!

when the shoppers extraordinaire got back, it was an almost 2 hour wait at Texas roadhouse, so we decided to stay close and just mozy on over to Olive Garden for dinner a little din din.

after we got back from dining that evening, we decided to get our selves tubbed.

Lindy and I dressed up special for the night.

and yes, that frickin' tree gored my arm.

and yes, we required the help of maintenance to get the gate open to the hot tub.

and yes, someone may have been impaled by the altar in the middle of this blasted hot tub while trying to run/scurry/swim to her position back in the line up before the timer snapped a picture!

next we decided the night sky would be the perfect place for some engagements

a hoe nubba leboe!after having heat stroke inflicted upon all of us by the tub of hot, we stole away back to room 104 for some girly time. Sab hooked us all up with some glittler toes and we were in girly heaven til the wee small hours of the morning!

Mary and Lorlaee provided us all with a buckets of fat to feast upon whilst chillin and fat we did!

when at last we decided it was best to slumber, Summer was overcome with a fear of CRUMBS in her bed, all over her feet!

Mary and I got comfy on the pull out couch- uber comfy!

Sunday morn brought tears to my eyes, and others, as Darla and Lindy retired early to venture home so that Dar could get back to Rexburg at a reasonable hour.

and perhaps JesseAnn took the title of INDECISIVE OF THE WORLD while deciding whether she was going to go home with them or not. Here they are patiently/stalkingly waiting for her answer as they were all packed up and ready to go outside.

Too bad for them, we still had a whole afternoon of catching some rays ahead of us. JesseAnn stayed with us and what joyous amounts of sun did we enjoy!

Jesse even finagled (sp) a way to keep her eyes safe!

We got a late check out, but still had to cut our laying out short- boo!

but, all great things come to an end. Sad, but true. So we all got ready to head home. Luckily, we were able to feast upon some Texas before we headed north. And feast we did! oh rolls! oh cinnabutter! oh ribs! oh my!!!!

we made a pit stop in some weird lil town on the way home and this little snaggle toothed dog scared thee crap out of jess when she was getting back in the car. It made the most horrific faces I've ever seen from a dog in my life.

so- there you have it! Another blessed weekend of fabulousness with some of my favorite people!

to Meaja, Heather, Janet and Jessica- we longed for your presence, but we'll get you next time!

to Darla- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! We love you so much and are so so so so glad that you were able to join us to celebrate you!!!!!! We will never forget you- you will always have us-don't you forget that!

to my jena- thank you so much for letting us take over your house for a day. We loved it and if I could come back again next week, I would, but lo, I can't....sadness is in my heart.

to derek- thank you for letting 9 girls take over your house for a day also. and for getting darla, jena and I ice cream at wal mart. You will be blessed!

to mary and friend- thank you so much for the hotel hook up- I'm quite sure it can not get any better than that!

to st george- thank you for being warm and perfect and for letting us in with open arms and perfect weather, dining and shopping.

to brent- thank you for being the greatest hub in the world and for never making it a big deal- or a small deal- when I feel the urge to girls trip. I've said it once and I'll say it again- you save me. Every.single.day. you save me and I am blessed forever to have you as mine!
