*4-6-9-2014* --Spring Break 2014--

For Spring Break this year, we decided that we weren't going to just sit here and do nothing. I asked the Knight's if we could use their condo and they said yes- so to St. George we went!

We left Sunday afternoon and caravanned with Hunters.

Dinner at Red Robin was our first stop. Then they kept on to Vegas and we went to the condo.

Oh it was sweet to have the sun shining warmly at night time. The kids were playing outside and all was right in the world :)
 Breakfast of Ramey champions- cereal.
Brent and I went to Crossfit Dixie Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings then came back to hang.
Lucky for us it was a wonderfully warm day which makes it a pool day!

Well pool day sounded fabulous until we got to the pool and realized it was more frigid than a polar ice cap....the kids braved it though- they would jump in, freeze to death, act like they were dying, then get out and do it all over again! Even the hot tub wasn't heated- it was freezing.

Sawyer- it's hilarious that our ginger child is the one that cares about getting a tan. She talks about it every time there's sun out- and I had to break it to her that it's never going to make that much of a difference.....
Since it was too cold to really swim, the kids decided to make some bracelets. Max taught Sawyer how to "loom" like a sweet brother would.
Finny's cutest side warming up.
She wanted to swim soooo badly, but she couldn't get further than this in the water without hustling out because of the freezing temps!
Cute loomers

I tried to document Sawyer's reaction to the water once she got brave enough to try:

And this cute bug finally settled for just soaking her feet in the water.

Jena, her friend Amanda and Kamdyn showed up to swim a little while later.
Kam didn't care about the cold, she just wanted to swim- so she jumped into the hot tub and they swam for a bit.

After swims, we all got ready and headed over to get ourselves refreshed with a Swig.
Sno cones for the kiddos.

or ice cream

and a cookie for me!

Jen and Derek graciously had us over for dinner this night.
BBQ at its finest.
So delicious.

Fin and Kase got to know eachother while they dug in the backyard.

I had to get at least one smile out of sick sweet Mak.

And after Fin had herself a little accident, we got the babes in the tubby.

Sister Selfie
It was a fun night. We hung out for a while, ate way too much food, and visited.
The next morn, Brent and I awoke to a painful surprise- sun burns! Apparently when you haven't been in the sun for months and months and you apply your sunscreen, you miss spots, and then you get fried on parts of your shins, and not where your fingerprints are.

Chatfields were staying in Cedar for the week, so we met up with them for a fun filled day.
We thought we'd go hiking, but decided against it and went to the Children's Museum instead.
It's free- well, they accept donations- and it's great! The kids had a blast!!!
They played house

and post office.

They worked on the farm

And fixed some cars.

Then they put on a fabulous show,

And Max recorded and amazing single

that these ladies produced.

"Ramfield"
A spectacular show!

Gosh I love this man

Conli playing with this contraption.

And Ty loved this'n

There was a little forest woodland for Fin to play

and a green screen that these guys probably played with for 45 minutes.

The dragon had braces
and Conli became a queen.

There was even a place that blew GINORMOUS bubbles!

Twas a success!
Afterwards, we attempted to swim.
It was still frigid, but the kids were more brave with friends to play with.
This girl- she kills me.

and her cute bummy.....the best

And we got to lay out again- it is one of my most favorite places.

For dinner we decided to go to Pizza Factory.
Max wanted to head to the Ministry of Magic first.

Such a fun night!!!!
It was so great having friends come and play!

Well, the next morning we got up, Brent and I worked out, then we cleaned up.
It was a fun few days and I'm so grateful that the Knight's let us use their condo for some good ol family time.

On the way home, Brent pulled off in Beaver and found this lake to fish.
It was as windy as heck, but the kids had fun playing around in it.

Successful first part of Spring Break! I'm grateful for these kids. I can't wait until they're all older and we can do other things and not have to worry about babes and sleep and all that jazz. But we had fun. It was soooooooo wonderful having daddy to ourselves for 3 days!
