*4-18 Friend Hunt/ 19- Soy's Bday *4-20-2014* ***EASTERS***

Well, the Easter season was upon us, so of course Summer and I had to hold our annual Easter Egg Friendly Hunt!

It turned out to be a pretty warm day, which was awesome, so it worked out perfectly. Summer rallied some troops to paint faces and Conli joined. We had a lot of friends come- and it was so fun seeing them all! I love our friends- and their kids!

Conli painting Sarah's face.
 Lil buds Jaynee and Con
 Jess, Kelly, Ashley and Kristen
 Wend and Shannon
Kaylee giving the "paint face" a go.
 More of Conli's work
After all the mama's had spread their eggs EVERYWHERE, we had the littlest kids go first, then the big. They were so excited! It's the cutest thing!
Finny would find an egg, pick it up, shake it and open it. She took a while to get her 12 eggs into her basket, but how she loved the process. If it didn't shake- she put it back! Who knows what she gave up!

Kaylee transformed into the Easter Bunny and Finley was TERRIFIED- As was Ava and some other kids. It was fine once I pulled her mask up and proved to Fin that she really loved the bunny :)
Kristen, the bunny and the pregos=Brit and Sum
Lil Easter family portrait. This was when Finley had just become ok with the bunny that close- notice if you will, the gap between she and I. She was leaning as far away as possible!
 These besties- they're the cutest.

 Kym and Wend

 Con and Lils.
I'm so grateful that our friends have always come to support whatever crazy party we are throwing. They've become such fun traditions that we all look forward to!
Next up- the Soy's bday! Whatever- like she is really 7!!! Where does the time go!?
Dad got donuts that morning (because it was Saturday, and that's just what we do) so Sawyer decided those were good and not to make the traditional blueberry muffins!
Then dad sang really loud, and she didn't love it!

 Cute little birthday girl.

That night, she chose Texas Roadhouse.  When it was her time to ride the saddle, she was a bit shy, and a bit curious as to why this guy was so happy for her. This is Brigham. He is the cutest boy- and he is a greeter at Texas Roadhouse. Never was there such a boisterous BYU loving, make you feel special boy! He cheered his head off and gave Sawyer the sweetest hug. It was adorable!

The saddest part of the wknd was that she lost her birthday party- it's true- too many fits were thrown and bad attitudes tossed around- so maybe next year...?

Easter morning, we got some pics by the gorgeous popcorn tree in the front.
The kids looked so pretty (and Max so handsome) in their new Easter dresses.
Except that Sawyer didn't wear her new Easter dress because it was 3 sizes TOO BIG!!!
Mom fail- I never had her or Fin try their dresses on because I just figured they'd be fine- ya, not fine. Finley's actually fits Sawyer- but I pulled the straps up and sewed them to her cardigan so it would stay on.....Sawyer's fit Conli- but it was ok- she still looked gorgeous!
And this guy- I'm so grateful to a Father in Heaven whose plan was to keep families together forever, because forever without him would be worthless!
After church, we celebrated Soy's birthday at Manas.
Purple outfit from head to toes!
Some arts and crafts for the obsessed
Karri took her to Color me Mine too, and she painted...a mustache! hahahah!
 And a piggy bank crown!
Mana gave her a TON of school stuff - some of which was from Grandma Joan's house! She loved it!
Conli and Mara had to try the stache on for size.

Karri made dreams come true again, with a frozen cake!

Easter Egg Hunt madness was had in the back yard. SO. MANY. EGGS.
But they had fun finding the ones with their names on them.
And the bags and the kites from Karri.

Twas a great Easter.
We talked about the true reason, but failed again at bringing the spirit in the way I wanted to.
Next year I'm going to have all the FHE for this month focus on Him and I'm actually going to do them.....
