COUPLES WEEKEND!!!!!!!

Lucky for us, back in the spring I had seen on FB that Kacee had bought a groupon for some cool hotel getaway in Vegas. So, being the friend that I am, I invited Brent and myself along! Then we invited Cody and Ivy to come too. Well, it was the most blessed wknd.  The weather was HEAVEN and it was soooooo fun!!! We love these friends so much. We just laugh ourselves silly whenever we are together, and it is wonderful!

We stayed at the Red Rock Resort and it was AWESOME.

The pool was dreamy, and the rooms were fab!!!!

Cody and Ivy stayed at another hotel down the road, so we split time between the two.  It was great.

First thing's first. We stopped by the Allred residence in Orem to grab Marlee and Maycee who were joining our car ride to their home.  Then we stopped in Mona to grab Cody, Ivy and their Lucas who was going down south for the weekend! Car full of fun I tell you! :)

We turned on this oldie but goodie for the kids- ok for all of us- on the way. Harry and the Hendersons- we love you!

See- even Cody hurt his neckle trying to watch it!

After dropping Luke off, we had to stop and eat some food. The girls decided that Yogurtland sounded quite nice. So we dined there whilst the men ate elsewhere. Then we went next door to the Gap Outlet for a minute- how convenient!

After traveling got us to Vegas, we dropped the gals off at their house and grabbed their parents!
On to the WEEKEND OF FUN!
This was our hotel. It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Ivy and I had to start the picture taking straight away while Ty and Kacee got their room situated just down the hall.

Kace didn't appreciate our not waiting for her, so of course we did another!

And we're off!
We were all a bit hungry, so we decided on a great Sushi place for din din.
Lots of raw fishy business going on down there....I was brave and ate some! I loved it!

Ivy and her chopstick skillz

After eatings we headed over to some Sports store for some shopping.
I don't know if anyone bought a thing, but we sure thought about these hats for a while.

And Ivy really wanted this one for her grandma days, but we talked her out of it.

What else to do??? More food please!
Dessert at Golden Spoon!

Brent dubbed Ty the Fitness Model of the trip. I think a little bromance incurred.....

brent himself to an extra helping of his topping because the solo worker went AWOL and he's tall, so he could just reach over the counter. Don't worry, we left a dollar for them.

We just talked, and laughed, and decided that hot tubbing was in order. Oh the adventure we had trying to find a hot tub!!!! First, we found out that our hotel closed theirs at 8:00!!! What the huh???? 8??? But lucky for us, remember, that our Hunter friends were staying elsewhere and they had one that was open!!!
So, we drove down the road to their place and got situated.
After trying to find it ourselves and having an epic fail-
We found what we thought was the pool/hot tub and NO ONE was in it- which we thought was crazy weird, and the key wouldn't let us in- so what did Tyler do? Hop the fence of course! Then he let us all in.  As we are walking around, we noticed it was CLOSED!!!! So, we hustled our bustle back out of the locked for a reason gate and went to ask the front desk where on earth they hid the hot tub!!!
Well, they gave us what sounded like simple enough direction- but NO, they were not simple!!!! After prancing down the yellow brick road thru the massive outdoors of this hotel, we finally found the teensy hot tub and were set!
Brent and Cody had to run back to the room for something and we initiated a Sasquatch Call for them to find us upon returning! It was sweet---
After tubbin, we went to bed for the night- alone- with no kids- and no kids to wake us up!!
Glory glory hallelujah!

The next morn we slept in a little- which was poo cuz in the hot tub we'd been talking about much Cody and I like to sleep in and how we woudln't be rising early in the mornings with these other crazies and then I woke up at 8!!!!!!! Oh well- we drove down to Cody and Ivy's and used their work out facility.  Brent and I gave the folks a good Crossfit Workout and we all did it- well, Ivy ran, but that's ok :)

The boys decided to spend like an hour in the spa in their locker room, so we had to try to figure out how to get our bag of suits from them, we finally devised a plan, got our suits and headed to the pool.

This, my friends, was delightful- pure delight.  We just basked in the warmth of the sun, and floated in the water for hours.  We all had our hats and our loves and we were in heaven!

I don't know how we didn't get a lovey dovey picture of the Hunters, but here's the other two!

oh Brent- the lil photobomber!

When we got hunger pangs, we hopped on over to our pool because with our deals we got $100 worth of food from the bar so we went over there- finally found some wonderful loungers and ate to our hearts content and just laid out for hours. That is my happy place!

We stopped off at the gas station for some snackables before lunch time and maybe I geared up for a blessed afternoon with a 54 oz D to the C.
and perhaps the pool guards wouldn't let us take in outside drinks!!!!!! AHHHHH!!!

Also- everything is kabobbable!
the spread

We ended up having to retire around 4 because we had dinner coming up and wanted to wear real clothes! Ivy laughed alot that Brent had his "beers" all with him on his way down the hall- never fear- he has never and will never drink- just his Rockstar!

We had reservations at The Sugar Factory for dinner because I'd heard that the place was off the hook. The boys were all afraid it was going to be some big "girl food" factory, but they were very VERY pleasantly surprised at the eats!  Riddle me this- what's the point of a reservation when they don't let you in for an hour after its been reserved???? Hate that junk!

Anywhoozle, we finally got to sit and order and order we did. My friends told me that we HAD to try the cheeseburger that was infused with white chocolate in the bun....so, we were brave and took the plunge.

This burger was DEEEEEEELISHUS!!! So worth the wait!!!
And tater tots- I love them!

We had to get a picture of us on the strip for a second at least!

Love these friends! So lucky that Brents BFFs married these wonderful people!!!!

I can't remember if we hit up the mall before or after dinner but nonetheless, Um- biggest mall I've ever seen. It just kept going. Never stopping, never sleeping :)
I face timed the kids for a minute while I had the time.

And Casi sent me a pic of Fin's hair she did- Taisyn also wanted to show me his hairs!
Cod and Ty offered up some good entertainment back in the parking garage.
We went to bed pretty much at old people times that night- we were all wasted.
The next morning we went and cashed in on our free breakfast buffet that the people at the front desk told us was part of our deal....
Kacee enjoyed every last bit of that buffet.
Sick-uh-ning- and really she didn't eat it.
After breakfast, it was time to head home! :(
So, we said goodbye to our Vegas peeps and went on our way.
Of course we had to stop and load up on snacks first- Brent introduced the people to Jalapeno Cheetos and they became Ivy's new obsession.
Can't you see it in her eyeballs!!!??

It was a GREAT weekend! And not possible at all without the people we love most up north. Thank you all for watching the kids!!!
I met them in Layton for lunch and a give back Monday afternoon.

Couldn't have come home to a sweeter bunch of people!
