It's EASTERS!

Easters, is one of our favorite holidays. It comes with much fun, and so much spirit.
I love talking to my kids about Easter, the reason we celebrate and everything that comes with it. We've had some awesome conversations about Brent's dad and my grandma lately, and I love it.

First things first though. The annual Easter Egg Hunt at Rock Canyon Park.

Love that our friends come out to play at this every year. Have to admit I was NOT in the mood to do this exact thing this evening, but when the sun came out and it turned glorious, and my kids were having such fun, it turned my mood right around!

Next on the Easter list- dying the eggs. I'm a serious Scrooge this year! I didn't want to be bothered to do this'n either, but we did- cuz we love our kids :)
Here, they are chanting- bring on the eggs! over, and over. and over. and over. I just had to remind myself to stay calm, and that I really do love them :)
We bought two different sets. The first was a tie dying one and it was pretty cool. They all had to be in on every action.

love these beautiful girls.
And Squishy was perfectly content playing in the cup drawer
just waiting, patiently
the final result.
and what's more fun than playing with the cut outs!?
messy faces?

love the colors!
ah, young egg love. He actually asked me to take his picture like this....nutso....
The marbled ones turned out ok, but super greasy...yuckers, but the kids had fun.
Easter morn, we got to don our cutest new outfits from Mana Ramey. I LOVE these dresses!!!!! of course, Finley has about had it by the time it's ready to leave for church, so we didn't get any good pics of them all, so here's my 3 best tries:

 I mean 4 best tries.....

I also tried to make the eats festive for the day.  Chicky Deviled eggs. Lots more work than I thought. but they were cute.
After church, we hung out for a little while and then ventured over to the regular Sabbath spot. Mana's.  Fin & Jaina were super excited to see each other.
and I am in love with Finley's face in this picture.
Sweetness on the swing

Me pretending I'm a photographer from New York
You wanna piece of me? Huh? do ya?
Cutie bug off to scoot
And the exhaustion had set in again, but I had to have her at least try on the ears
Thanks goodness Mana was prepared for her yard caked in eggs (500 to be exact) Brent and I hate the crazy that is easter egg hunts made for Easter, and to make a joke, she went beserk and got the kids buckets and oodles of eggs....how dare she!?

cute kids
I'm kind of dying at how grown up Miss Conli looks right here. My beautiful little girl. Nothing is better to her than a pony tail that she's up did by herself :)
Mana helped Finley with the gathering
Here we all are yelling at all the children. There were seriously so many eggs that we just started making heaps for each child. It was crazy!
They were so excited!

And then comes the even funner part- discovering the innerds!

Trinkets from Karri, Money from Mana, goodies from Grandma Joan! So spoiled.
doing the bunny hop dance:
and more pics captured by Karri's really good camera:

Pat is a great uncle/dad and took the babes for a ride in the wagon

Daddy was even a good sport

Fin & Bre

cutest girls
Who needs Thanksgiving Point when we have Mana's backyard and not the entire state of Utah to go up against!?

HURRY GET YOUR EGGIES!!!!!

J would just yell and point at one egg until the child it belonged to came to fetch it.

The goods:

I believe I have Muppet hair in these:

the maniacal laugh from Sawyer

oh! lippy even found it's way inside the eggs!

strike a pose there's nuthin to it.

After the Easter festivity chaos had died down, we got to celebrate Mara's bday! We love our Mara!
The day was great. But the best part of it all, was later that night. We were getting the kids ready for bed, and I started pulling up some Easter videos that had been floating around facebook for a couple days. Turned out, we watched about 8 videos on Christ, and on Easter. My sweet kids settled down, quieted up, and just begged for more after each one would finish. That, my friends, is what this is all about. Feeling the spirit of our Savior on days that we are supposed to be reminded of him.  He is the reason, and the hope, and everything we need in this life to be complete.  I am so grateful for Him. For His wondrous sacrifice and for the knowledge I've been blessed with, and the faith I've been blessed with to know He lives. He is Real. I Believe in Christ. So Come what May!
